This research paper aims to investigate the relationships between entrepreneurial self-efficacy, opportunity recognition, performance expectancy of AI, national culture, and entrepreneurial intentions among university students in Tunisia. It also investigates the moderating role of entrepreneurship education and gender on the opportunity recognition– intention and self-efficacy–intention relationships. This research used a quantitative approach whereby an online survey is addressed to a convenience sampling of Tunisian engineering students. PLS modeling method is employed to analyze data. Findings show a significant impact of entrepreneurial self-efficacy, opportunity recognition, performance expectancy of AI on entrepreneurial intentions. However, national culture effect on intention was rejected. Meanwhile, gender does not play the role of a moderator. Results show that entrepreneurial education moderates only the self-efficacy entrepreneurial intention link. The nature and significance of relationships between different concepts will be interpreted. A set of practical contributions will be presented.
