Evolving Zero Energy Building Practices and Their Role in Global Sustainability
摘要
Zero energy buildings have emerged as a potential solution in addressing the sustainability challenges. This chapter discusses the strategies and core principles of ZEBs and advances in envelope design, smart technologies such as AI-driven design, and sustainable materials that enhance energy efficiency. The discussion is extended to the challenges related to standardization, economic feasibility, and technological integration as well as some opportunities. From the literature it was observed that the adoption of ZEBs can contribute to global energy efficiency and sustainability.
