Artificial Intelligence and Personal Development in Engineering Education: A Human-Centered Approach to Digital Learning
摘要
Artificial intelligence (AI) plays a vital role in enhacing personal development and is becoming increasingly popular. This paper explores how AI can be integrated into personal development learning, exploring its advantages and disadvantages. The study employs a mixed-method approach, utilizing a combined analysis that incorporates questionnaires with engineering students and AI tools, along with a qualitative analysis based on interviews with teachers. This method enables a comparison of the perspectives of learners and teachers to gain a better understanding of the influence of AI. This chapter contributes to the ongoing conversation on how AI transforms educational relationships in increasingly digital and diverse classrooms. The results reveal that AI simplifies access to relevant resources and enables personalized learning. However, there are limitations, particularly in its difficulty in contextualizing the emotional and social aspects of personal development. It cannot replace human support and raises ethical issues, such as the use of learners’ data. To maximize the benefits of AI while preserving the core of personal development, it is vital to train teachers in the critical and ethical use of these tools. The question remains how to effectively integrate AI into education, balancing its advantages with the necessity of maintaining human interaction.
