In this chapter we will critically discuss the methodology of our project. We start out by positioning the research design in relation to ethnography as a methodology, more specifically online ethnography. Then we discuss the research process, from recruiting the participants, to doing the data production and managing the complexity of research ethics in online settings. Lastly, we present the different levels of analysis; from positioning ourselves in relation to the material and how we analyze the material from both an ethnographic and an ethnomethodological and conversation analytical approach.
