We are already beginning to see an evolution of podcasting to favor the convergence of audio and visual content, short-form content, and AI-assisted podcasts. The future of podcasting will continue to expand our framework for what a podcast looks like, moving beyond audio-only, long-form interviews. The changes that lie ahead will expand opportunities to use podcasts in education and integrate into clinical workflows. Technical advancements will improve global access to podcasts and hopefully, health equity for patients.
