Building Employee Well-Being in Culturally Diverse Teams
摘要
In light of ongoing social changes such as labor market globalization, generational replacement shortages, and economic immigration, the past few years have seen an increase in multiculturalism within work teams. This process is typically associated with creativity, diverse perspectives on problem-solving, and varied experiences, which are ultimately expected to enhance work efficiency. However, attention is also drawn to the negative aspects of working in culturally diverse teams. These include a higher incidence of conflicts and a lack of mutual trust, which translates into increased stress levels among team members. Therefore, ensuring the well-being of employees operating in culturally heterogeneous teams becomes a crucial element of modern human resource management. Based on a literature review, theoretical analysis, and empirical research available in the literature, this article presents management challenges generated by cultural diversity. The second part of the article introduces tools for fostering the psychological well-being of employees in heterogeneous teams.
