Navigating Interpretive Diversity: The Impact of Varied Biblical Understandings on Church Unity among Zimbabwean Immigrants and Their South African Counterparts

This chapter interpreting and examines the complex dynamics of understanding church unity within the context of church unity among Zimbabwean immigrants and their South African counterparts. The diverse interpretations of the theme of church unity present both challenges and opportunities for fostering cohesion within these communities. Through qualitative research methods, including interviews and participant observation, this study examines how differing understandings of the overall theme of church unity and its influence on intergroup relations and theological discourse. The findings shed light on the complexities of navigating interpretive diversity and offer insights for promoting greater harmony and understanding within multicultural congregations.
