This article examines the process of transforming Casablanca into a smart city by analysing the projects and initiatives implemented in the fields of transport, energy, digital infrastructure, and public services. It also highlights the main challenges encountered, such as traffic congestion, driver stress and drowsiness, outdated infrastructure, and the need to reduce social inequalities. The study emphasises that the success of this transition depends not only on the adoption of innovative technologies but also on effective governance, sustainable urban planning, and active citizen involvement.
