This research develops an advanced smart parking system that employs Wi-Fi technology to provide real-time parking lot occupancy information. The system is designed to detect and transmit data regarding the availability and occupancy status of parking spaces to a centralized server using Wi-Fi-enabled devices. The integration of the Raspberry Pi, a high-performance single-board computer, enhances the system’s capabilities through image detection facilitated by a camera module. This image processing feature greatly enhances the system’s accuracy by enabling visual confirmation of the parking slot status. By leveraging the combined advantages of Wi-Fi technology and the computational power of the Raspberry Pi, this smart parking system offers a highly efficient solution for optimizing parking management and improving user experience through the timely dissemination of accurate information.
