Logistics Pooling as an Innovative Approach to Flow Optimization in Distribution Networks: Evidence from Morocco
摘要
This research explores logistics pooling as an innovative approach for improving the movement of goods within distribution networks. In the context of a dynamic economy, besides the essentiality of sustainable and collaborative supply chains, logistics pooling has gained attention in global discussions, while its effects on optimizing flow dynamics remain insufficiently studied in developing countries especially in the Moroccan context. In this study a sequential mixed-methods approach was employed by using structural equation modeling (SEM). The empirical results reveal that logistics pooling along with the coordinating role of logistics service providers as broker significantly impact the optimization of flows within Moroccan distribution networks. These findings underscore the potential of logistics pooling to address mobility challenges and drive efficiency in goods distribution. This study fills a gap in the current literature and proposes a framework adapted to the local realities. It’s not only identifying the main conditions that favor successful pooling initiatives but also provides actionable insights for companies aiming to develop more resilient and sustainable supply chains.
