Electrocardiogram (ECG) monitoring is a critical component of cardiac health assessment, traditionally relying on adhesive gel electrodes. However, these conventional electrodes pose challenges such as skin irritation, discomfort during prolonged use, and single-use disposability. This paper explores textile-based ECG electrodes as a viable alternative, integrating conductive materials like silver-coated threads into fabric to enable seamless, wearable health monitoring. Textile electrodes offer improved comfort, reusability, and non-intrusive integration into daily life. We discuss their electrical properties, signal acquisition mechanisms, and performance in comparison to traditional electrodes. Experimental results indicate that textile electrodes provide reliable ECG signal.
