We discuss how the works of Monalisa Ojeda, “La misma nota, forever” (2016) and “Las biuty queens” (2019), can be read as a narrative of community (Zagarell, S., 1988). By intertwining this analysis with Judith Butler’s (2015) concept of “assembly”, we observe the constitutive aspects reaffirmed and (de)constructed by Ojeda as she highlights the consciousness of a person writing not only about herself but also about a collective, in a tangled manner. The storytelling, in this sense, although narrated in the first person, advocates for a communal character by establishing a “joint protagonism” between the narrator and her travesti and drag queen friends, united by solidarity, affection, and both individual and collective issues.

摘要
