Employing Artificial Intelligence in Security Preservation and Combating Organized Crime
摘要
This study explores the strategic use of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to help improve public security systems and fight organized crime. Adopting a descriptive and analytical research design, this study assesses four key AI technologies. predictive policing, facial recognition systems, natural language processing (NLP), and geographic information systems (GIS) crime mapping. Data collection included document analysis; interviews with 100 experts across sectors including law enforcement, AI development, legal analysis and policy making; case study reviews; and a literature review matrix. The results indicate that predictive policing and GIS-based crime mapping are rated at the top of crime prevention scale 5/5 by experts; facial recognition tools were moderately effective 4/5 with efficiency contingent on environment and ethical concerns. All NLP tools ranged from moderately effective (3/5) to which were best when combined with other AI systems. Thus, the study comes as an affirmation that AI is an evolutionary tool for fighting the fight against organized crime where you move from a reactive to a proactive security stance. This work is a pioneering conceptual framework for multi-dimensional evaluation of AI-driven capability for monitoring crime with ethical governance considerations for policymakers, law enforcement, and security professionals aiming to deploy crime prevention strategies with AI solutions responsibly.
