An inclusive researcher must consider the inclusion of People with Disabilities (PWD) at all stages of research from the conceptualization of the research and research questions to assessing needs to analyzing and reporting results of data collection. Inclusive primary data collection and analysis often require a mixed-methods approach where qualitative and quantitative data/analysis are used. While there are many conventional and specialized research methods for data collection and analysis, many of them present barriers for PWD. Assessing the suitability of particular research methods requires an understanding of the possible fit and limitations of existing methods, and potential modifications for use with respect to the varying abilities of the target users. Using a sensory, cognitive and physical requirements model to assess this fit may assist researchers on making inclusive methods choices.

摘要
