Educational games are one of the innovative forms of teaching. In a game-based learning approach, the learners are placed at the center of the training process, providing them with a suitable learning context and considering their characteristics and learning goals. The paper presents the results of an experimental test of an educational video game of the type enriched maze with sixth-grade students. The game is designed in two versions – universal and personalized according to students’ knowledge level and learning goals. After playing the games, students evaluated the two game versions according to two essential indicators – the game impact (game experience) and suitability for learning (learnability). Analysis of the students’ evaluations of the game versions is provided.
