The article is devoted to the study of the evolution of e-business, which has undergone significant changes since its inception. The key stages of e-commerce development are considered - from traditional forms of online trading to the creation and widespread distribution of digital platforms that have changed business models and interaction with consumers. The article analyzes the transition from simple online stores to multifunctional platforms that unite sellers, buyers and third parties into single ecosystems. Particular attention is paid to technological innovations such as artificial intelligence, blockchain and cloud computing, which have become the basis for new business models in e-commerce. The changes in consumer preferences and behavior caused by the development of mobile technologies, improved user experience and the growing importance of data are revealed. The process of transformation of traditional companies into digital platforms is considered as the basis for creating new forms of competitive advantages that are able to maintain sustainable growth in unstable conditions. It is shown that the future of e-business will be associated with further integration of new technologies and platforms that will create more complex and interconnected ecosystems that significantly change the ways of doing business and interacting with customers.
