Operational Codes of Global Governance
摘要
International standards now exist to facilitate the global economy and promote humanitarian goals. The chapter reviews the origin of the concept of global governance as a policy area, known as a regime, in which epistemic communities of experts write and umpire global rules (operational codes). After identifying 38 global regimes in which a rules-based international order has been developed, more details are provided for the following regimes—accounting, adjudication, antislavery and human trafficking, arbitration, the Arctic, the Antarctic, arms control and nonproliferation, and world trade.
