The performance indicators for fiber-optic communication lines using spectral technology with separation communication channels are analyzed. The effectiveness of using network resources in optical telecommunication systems based on spectral technologies, following the architectural concept of the Next Generation Network and Future Network, has been studied. This work focuses on the construction methods for calculating the indicators of optical networks, and the study methods and tools for improving the efficiency using network and channel resources in fiber-optic communication lines using dense spectral multiplexing of optical signals with separated communication channels. The problems ensuring effective management channel and network resources in optical communication networks are considered. As a result of studying spectral multiplexing technology, a new approach to constructing a calculation method is proposed. This method describes the efficiency managing network and channel resources in fiber-optic communication lines, taking into account the numerous requirements, their parameters, and transfer characteristics.
