Integrated Coastal Resilience: Advance Modelling and Nature-Based Solutions
摘要
This study explores the potential of integrating advanced modeling techniques with nature-based solutions (NbS) to enhance coastal resilience and mitigate erosion and flooding risks along vulnerable coastal systems. Focusing on the Ebro Delta and Wadden Sea, the research evaluates the effectiveness of strategies such as seagrass meadows and alternating embryonic dunes in reducing erosion and stabilizing sediments. By highlighting the role of tailored NbS and their integration with traditional approaches, this work provides a framework for adaptive coastal management that strengthens natural defenses and promotes sustainable development in the face of increasing climate challenges.
