Current Educational Approaches for Cyber-Safety Awareness in South African Schools: A Systematic Literature Review
摘要
In an era of rapid technological advancement, traditional thinking and living patterns are being disrupted, underscoring the need for improved cyber-safety awareness. This is especially critical for vulnerable groups such as school learners, who face heightened risks due to limited knowledge of online threats. This study examines current educational approaches to cyber safety in South African schools, aiming to identify existing gaps and strengths. Employing the PRISMA framework, a systematic literature review was conducted, analysing 92 out of 286 articles on cyber safety published between 2012 and 2024. The research reveals the current state of cyber-safety education. The results contribute to the academic discourse and offer guidance for policymakers to advance cyber-safety regulations in South African schools.
