This study sets out to examine Merger and Acquisition (M&A) within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, elaborating fundamental differences between them e tracing their historical evolution and objectives and advantages from both economic and operational perspectives in the digital era. The research also efforts in revealing the motivations that drive companies towards pursuing mergers or acquisitions primarily focusing on the effects of these processes on the Saudi banking sector. In this study, an analytical-descriptive approach was undertaken to collect data through academic literature, financial reports, and interviews with experienced individuals in economic and banking fields. To add up, case studies of real-world applications within the Saudi market were done to complement this analysis with a review of financial performance for firms involved in M&A activities. The results showed that M&A acts as an essential strategic tool for firms in Saudi Arabia to grow, do more with less, and be more competitive. Also, this helped the banking industry gain from these results toward better financial stability but faced many issues in regulation and workforce effects. In a nutshell, the study gave suggestions aimed at making M&A procedures better in Saudi Arabia calling for stricter legal control encouraging teamwork among small and medium-sized businesses and a quicker way for regulatory problems.
