The Impact of Using Artificial Intelligence in Recruitment Processes: The Moderating Role of Employees’ Digital Skills Level in Jordanian Telecommunications Companies

This research aims to determine the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) usage in recruitment processes within Jordanian telecommunications companies, with employees’ digital skills level as a moderating variable. The study sample consisted of 197 respondents selected using a proportional stratified sampling method. A structured questionnaire was designed for the study participants, achieving a response rate of 92.4%. The results revealed a statistically significant impact of AI dimensions on various aspects of recruitment processes in Jordanian telecommunications companies. Additionally, the findings indicated a statistically significant moderating role of employees’ digital skills in strengthening the relationship between AI usage and the effectiveness of recruitment processes. The researchers recommended increasing investment in AI technologies to enhance recruitment efficiency, improve candidate selection, and reduce human errors, ultimately improving human resource quality. The study also emphasized the importance of continuous training programs to enhance employees’ digital skills, enabling them to interact effectively with AI-based recruitment systems.
