Student Satisfaction with Mobile Learning Apps Versus Web-Based Learning Platforms: A Comparative Study
摘要
Mobile learning (m-learning) is one of the most important parts of digital education which is boosted by mobile technology, giving students more flexibility and freedom in learning. The paper, therefore, tries to surface student satisfaction levels with mobile learning apps against a web-based learning environment. It assesses the perception of university students in Jordan. The paper is quantitative. Descriptive and inferential statistics were deployed to bring out both qualitative and quantitative solutions to evaluate the main determinants of satisfaction, which include usability, perceived security, and usefulness, among others. While mobile learning improves accessibility, content delivery, over-application of this approach might influence the user negatively regarding satisfaction, loyalty, and performance. The study therefore calls for a strategically balanced performance of web and mobile platforms that should be adequately designed to cater to the informing needs of diverse students. Therefore, this study provides insight that will be useful for improving learning environments, assisting platform developers, and formulating policies that enhance the student experience in the digital learning environment.
