The Impact of Business Intelligence on Achieving Institutional Excellence
摘要
The objective of the study is to examine the influence of business intelligence on attaining institutional excellence. This investigation involved two key variables: the independent variable, business intelligence, and the dependent variable, institutional excellence. Business intelligence was assessed through three dimensions: data collection and storage, data analysis systems, and data mining systems. Conversely, institutional excellence was evaluated based on three dimensions: leadership excellence, sustainability, and innovation. A questionnaire comprising 35 items was developed to assess these variables. The study’s population included 300 employees. The questionnaire was disseminated to all individuals within this population, yielding 172 valid responses and resulting in a response rate of 62%. Employing a descriptive-analytical methodology, the researchers utilized various statistical tests through SPSS software. The findings of the study revealed several significant results, with the most notable being that the dimensions of business intelligence exerted a statistically significant effect on achieving institutional excellence in the ministry. The analysis indicated that business intelligence accounted for 66.2% of the variance in institutional excellence. The dimension of “data mining systems” was identified as having the most significant influence on the variance observed, followed by the “data analysis systems” dimension, and lastly, the “data collection and storage” dimension. Furthermore, the findings revealed that the ministry’s level of business intelligence was categorized as “moderate,” whereas the level of institutional excellence was rated as “high,” with the sustainability dimension exceeding the performance of the others. To enhance institutional excellence, the study suggested improving the data infrastructure, developing systems for data storage, and increasing the utilization of data analysis and mining tools. Additionally, it emphasized the importance of fostering innovation through employee training on contemporary business intelligence tools and the establishment of leadership policies aimed at supporting sustainability and excellence in institutional performance.
