The Syrian Arab Republic faces unprecedented challenges in post-war reconstruction, with massive volumes of construction debris necessitating sustainable management practices. This article integrates ecological considerations and equipment selection criteria to address debris management in Syria, drawing on global case studies, multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) frameworks, and circular economy principles. By analyzing post-disaster recovery models (e.g., Italy’s Umbria region), sustainable equipment criteria [2], and post-war debris utilization (e.g., Northern Province road projects), the study proposes a framework tailored to Syria’s socio-economic and environmental context. Key findings emphasize the need for MCDM-driven equipment selection, adherence to stringent environmental protocols, and cross-sector collaboration. The article concludes with policy recommendations for integrating ecological priorities into Syria’s reconstruction efforts.

摘要

The Syrian Arab Republic faces unprecedented challenges in post-war reconstruction, with massive volumes of construction debris necessitating sustainable management practices. This article integrates ecological considerations and equipment selection criteria to address debris management in Syria, drawing on global case studies, multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) frameworks, and circular economy principles. By analyzing post-disaster recovery models (e.g., Italy’s Umbria region), sustainable equipment criteria [2], and post-war debris utilization (e.g., Northern Province road projects), the study proposes a framework tailored to Syria’s socio-economic and environmental context. Key findings emphasize the need for MCDM-driven equipment selection, adherence to stringent environmental protocols, and cross-sector collaboration. The article concludes with policy recommendations for integrating ecological priorities into Syria’s reconstruction efforts.
