Implementing 5G Core Network for Finding Metrics and Analyzing Network Performance Under DoS Attack
摘要
This paper explores the deployment of a 5G core network using Open5GS and UERANSIM to analyze network performance and detect potential security vulnerabilities. The study focuses on evaluating key metrics, particularly in the context of Denial of Service (DoS) attacks targeting the control plane. By simulating a multi-UE environment, the project examines how the 5G network reacts under stress conditions, identifying critical points of failure. The findings highlight the importance of robust control plane security and offer insights into mitigating DoS threats, contributing to the development of resilient 5G infrastructure for diverse application scenarios. Throughput decreased by 50% and load average decreased by 2239% after Denial of Service attack.
