RecycleSmart aims to tackle this issue by promoting the recycling of various types of bottles through an IoT-powered reward system. The project incentivizes users to recycle by offering reward points for submitting bottles at smart collection units. In real-world deployment, the system achieved a 90% bottle recognition success rate and issued over 500 reward points within a two-week testing period. This indicates strong user engagement and system performance. By encouraging responsible recycling behavior and reducing bottle waste, RecycleSmart effectively integrates IoT, automation, and real-time feedback to promote environmental sustainability and user participation.
