Climate change has impacted fisheries, with warmer temperatures resulting in changes in habitats and food supply, leading to fish migration. The study investigates the impact of climate change in causing migration of fishermen from other regions to find better livelihoods in Jakarta, and the resilience of fishermen in the coastal areas of North Jakarta. This chapter analyses the impact and pattern of climate change on the migration of fishermen from Indramayu, Cirebon and Tegal to Jakarta, and its impact and policy intervention on urbanisation. The research uses qualitative methods, with data collection through interviews and literature reviews. The results indicate that climate change is one factor that drives fishermen to migrate to Jakarta, with the influx of migrants from other regions to Jakarta having significant social implications, including the emergence of slum areas, lack of sanitation, water, housing, education and health issues. We conclude that collaboration between local governments and political intervention are among the solutions needed to improve the livelihood of migrant fishermen.

摘要
