Artificial intelligence (AI) has many applications in dermatology. For hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), delayed diagnosis and complex medical decision making are well-known challenges in management. AI tools are being developed to help address these concerns. AI chatbots and models may be useful in assessing patient symptoms to stratify for likelihood of HS diagnosis. AI algorithms analyzing clinical images may facilitate accurate determination of HS severity. Large language learning models can be used to assist with patient communication and education, potentially saving providers’ time and enhancing patient care. While AI has the potential to help with HS management, limitations include misdiagnosis, variable accuracy of recommendations, and data privacy concerns. Dermatologists can consider using AI tools as adjuncts to HS care while relying on their clinical expertise.

摘要
