It is an undeniable fact that global dynamics and geopolitical tensions play out in, and through, cyber space. The cyber landscape has become a multifaceted arena with a wide range of actors each with distinct capabilities and motivations that pursue their interests, flex technical muscles, develop and execute technical exploits. Explaining, understanding and making sense of cyber security and cyber threat dynamics at both national and global levels requires cyber security students to embrace interdisciplinary thinking that enables them to develop critical outlooks necessary for the contemporary cyber security challenges. This chapter offers an in-depth discussion on the importance of embedding interdisciplinarity and geopolitical reasoning within undergraduate cyber security education. It presents and discusses a Level 6 core module that has been designed and embedded within the undergraduate cyber security and digital forensics course.
