Preliminary Design Study on Neutron Imaging Facilities in a New Research Reactor in Japan
摘要
A new research reactor is planned to be constructed in Japan, and a neutron imaging facility is considered one of the priority facilities on the site. The specifications for the construction of the facility have now been discussed. Installing two separate instruments using thermal and cold neutrons is desirable for performing a wide range of application and development research. Furthermore, they should be the most advanced facilities in the world. In this paper, we summarize the current status of the specifications required to perform state-of-the-art neutron imaging research in each instrument and establish the basis for instrument design.
