Women discussed how professional attitudes and beliefs reinforced child contact myths resulting in secondary trauma. Women placed this in the context of the wider system, acknowledging the power professionals have, but also the position of professionals to reinforce system-wide messages. The implications for child wellbeing and safety are explored. The chapter works towards goals 5 (gender equality) and 16 (peace, justice, and strong institutions) of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals.
