Nuclear Medicine in the Musculoskeletal System
摘要
Nuclear medicine has an important role in the management of neoplastic and nonneoplastic bone diseases. This role has been expanding significantly particularly in the diagnosis of many benign diseases which may not be detected by morphologic modalities. Hybrid imaging has added significant power in the diagnosis and follow-up of bone conditions. SPECT/CT, PET/CT, and PET/MR are being used. The chapter presents applications of scintigraphy utilizing different techniques in benign and malignant bone disease as well as soft tissue calcifications.
