The chapter discusses Kinetta, Dogtooth and Alps in terms of the BrechtianBrechtian tradition, a tradition prominent in modern Greek cinemaGreek cinema particularly in the films by Theo AngelopoulosTheo Angelopoulos. Angelopoulos’s films arguably showed future Greek filmmakers, including Lanthimos, the possibilities Brechtian cinematic form can offer.
