This chapter discusses the complex relationship between Richard Cammell, the occultist and priest Montague Summers and the writer Dennis Wheatley from the 1930s to the 1950s. There is an emphasis on the Black occultist Rollo Ahmed, who taught the Wheatleys Yoga and his influence on To the Devil a Daughter. Aleister Crowley’s influence on The Devil Rides Out is also considered.
