Transport Without Borders? The Impact of Market Liberalisation on the Quality and Efficiency of Transport Services in Poland and the European Union
摘要
Liberalisation of the transport market in the European Union (EU) is one of the key tools to support the development of competitiveness, quality and accessibility of transport services. The article analyses the origins and objectives of this process, the effects on the various market players (public and private carriers, passengers, infrastructure) and presents case studies from Germany and Czech Republic. The challenges of price dumping, interoperability and safety were also discussed and prospects for development, including digitalisation and multi-modal integration, were identified.
