A Map of Corporate Digital Responsibility Frameworks, Codes, and Tools
摘要
Corporate Digital Responsibility (CDR) has garnered significant attention in recent years, leading to the emergence of various frameworks, codes, and tools in parallel designed to facilitate its practical application. This chapter aims to illuminate prominent CDR approaches that have developed in Europe and the UK. In this way, this chapter specifically aims to address the challenges SMEs and startups face when initially approaching CDR due to the absence of (internal) dedicated CDR experts. By providing accessible insights into these frameworks and tools, this chapter seeks to support companies in initiating their CDR journey and assessing their current maturity levels. The discussion highlights the commonalities and distinctions among different CDR approaches, emphasizing the importance of selecting a framework that aligns with a company’s culture, values, and strategic objectives. For newcomers to CDR, this comparative analysis serves as a guide to choosing the most suitable approach for initial implementation, while for more experienced organizations, it broadens the understanding of CDR and identifies potential areas for further engagement. Further, this chapter contributes to bridging theoretical debates and practical applications of CDR by presenting and comparing actionable tools, thus making the concept more tangible and actionable for organizations seeking to enhance their CDR engagement.
