Conclusion and Outlook
摘要
The final chapter will discuss the significance of the current changes to the knowledge regimes in the United States and Germany. In both countries, think tanks, albeit with different organizational outlooks, resources and strategies, have been instrumental in sustaining climate sceptic positions and revived and weaponized them in increasingly adversarial political debates. The chapter will attempt to look ahead and debates the future impact of think tanks in the two countries and will ask for the consequence for “evidence-based” climate politics and the role of scientific expertise in political and public disputes.
