Under the background of urban–rural disparities and with the China’s Rural Revitalization Strategy implementing, integrating digital tools with rural tourism planning is an effective path to develop the rural area. This study proposes a data-driven framework to evaluate rural homestay potential by coupling a digital information platform with an improved Porter Diamond Model. The rural digital information platform involves multi-source data with a framework of 3 layers, containing 39 specific kinds data. The evaluation system adapts Porter’s model into 5 dimensions and 27 specific indicators, refined via natural language processing of 283 literature-derived keywords, given weights through the Analytic Hierarchy Process and expert scoring. Results demonstrate effective alignment between platform data and evaluation demands, enabling quantitative assessment of rural homestay industry potential. This approach offers a scalable model for resource allocation and scientific planning, advancing digital rural applications. Future work will validate the framework through field data collection and scoring.

摘要
