We present the foundations of the Heisenberg theory for the exchange interaction and derive the exchange Hamiltonian. We analyze the magnon (spin-wave) spectrum in ferromagnet. We find the temperature dependence of the magnetizationMagnetization and specific heat of the spin subsystem. We consider ferromagnet–paramagnet (FM–PM) phase transition both at the mean-field level and with account of the fluctuations close to the critical point.
