Puzzle-Based Mathematics Learning
摘要
The aim of this chapter is to give a short summary of puzzle-based mathematics teaching and learning. Mathematical puzzles were used in mathematics teaching since long time ago in many countries. Due to curricular pressure, in a period mathematics textbook authors were avoiding using mathematical puzzles or used very few of them. Recently, this unfortunate situation started to change. Namely, many cognitive and motivational benefits of solving mathematical puzzle are being recognized and puzzle-based learning is increasing its presence in education.
