Artificial Intelligence in Precision Oncology
摘要
Artificial intelligence (AI) has made inroads in precision oncology through the development of big data, machine-learning models, and deep learning and its tools, being able to process vast streams of data. The accuracy of whole-slide and radiologic imaging has improved, with features and patterns in them able to be characterized beyond the capability of the human eye. AI tools are being applied to cancer screening, detection and profiling, and multiple data modalities such as omics technologies, and are being applied to predict treatment outcomes by identifying prognostic and predictive biomarkers. Large language models (LLMs) are being applied to electronic health records and other clinically significant data to process them for clinical decision support. This chapter provides an overview of using AI in precision oncology and recent studies developing this innovative tool.
