Partial thickness rotator cuff tears in shoulders are common pathologies and represent a challenging disease entity. Non-operative treatment is often the first-line management, however treatment strategies are still controversial. Surgical decision-making depends on age, etiology, activity level, co-morbidities, tear location, and tear thickness. This chapter describes classification, pathogenesis, and non-operative and surgical management strategies of partial rotator cuff tears.
