Arthroscopic Treatment of Scaphoid Fractures and Non-union
摘要
Fractures and non-union of the scaphoid represent an important part of carpal bone trauma. Their treatment is clear but remains technically difficult. The consolidation of a fracture or non-union of the scaphoid requires perfect execution on a small bone whose blood supply is inferior to that of the other bones of the upper limb. For about 20 years, arthroscopy has been used to treat fractures and non-union of the scaphoid. The advantage of arthroscopy is its minimally invasive nature, the simultaneous treatment of associated lesions and higher rates of consolidation compared to open surgical techniques. We report here our experience of this technique by detailing the key points.
