Voting systems have faced problems like security threats, lack of transparency, and of course, low voter trust. Collaborating and integrating blockchain technology into the voting systems would help solve these issues. Thanks to its decentralized and immutable structure, blockchain offers a reliable way to build electronic voting systems that will ensure that elections are trustworthy. It helps prevent concerns regarding vote manipulation, fraud, and unauthorized access through secure data storage on the blockchain and real-time verification. In conventional general elections, there is an organization that coordinates and manages the entire process. Meanwhile in a more streamlined and digitized blockchain based system, no such central organization would be required; a decentralized application that cannot be tampered with guarantees the integrity and security of an election, ensuring the voters trust in the process. The immutable ledger of blockchain based systems ensures that no data and information can be manipulated by any party. The paper will examine how the deployment of a blockchain fundamentally changes the voting process for democratic elections offering potential advantages, real-world technical mechanisms, and obstacles. The aim of this paper is to help enhance democracy by providing information to voters through models and examining real-life applications of the voting system.

摘要
