This paper explores the efficacy of using non-invasive fiber optic sensors (FOS) for continuous monitoring of vital signs, particularly heart rate (HR) and respiratory rate (RR), through ballistocardiogram (BCG) measurements. The study examines various signal processing methods, including Wavelet Transform (WT), Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD), and cepstrum analysis, to enhance signal accuracy and reduce noise artifacts. Performance metrics are used to compare the effectiveness of these methods, highlighting the potential of FOS-based systems in improving patient monitoring, especially in critical care settings.

摘要
