Security Issues on Quantum Computing
摘要
In this world of emerging technologies the field of cybersecurity confronts several challenges in the upcoming decades. Usually cybersecurity provides technologies standards, policies that protect classical system assets. According to CIA triad, which defines confidentiality, integrity, and availability fundamentals, the current domain structures used by IT can have vulnerabilities at any time and place, since several technical and non-technical foundations have been breached so far. These breaches are based on classical systems. Quantum computers can be the solution to these problems but can themselves pose a problem. This article delivers the implications of quantum computing for cybersecurity, highlighting vulnerabilities and exposing conventional security algorithms such as RSA, ECC, which could be easily broken down in the post-quantum world.
