This paper aims at exploring the role of graph theory in data science. First, it will explore the role of recommendation systems in daily life after understanding the basic concepts of graph theory used in recommendation systems and how these systems rely heavily on the pillars of graph theory. Here, the focus is the recommendation systems used in the healthcare sector for the personalization of medicines and treatments. It will also mention some serious limitations of healthcare recommendation systems which need to be resolved in the future in order to minimize the death rates and provide better treatment facilities to everyone.
