Malformations of the spinal cord are intimately related to malformatons of the surrounding spinal column. In this chapter we illustrate spinal cord malformations apart from neural tube defects (see Chapter 3) including split cord malformations, segmentation disorders including Klippel-Feil syndrome and segmental dysgenesis, caudal regression, neural canal stenosis, and diseases affecting the fetal motor neurons.
