Quantitative Techniques in Cardiac MRI
摘要
Cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging has emerged as the gold standard for quantitative evaluation of cardiac volumes, mass, and systolic function. Diverse gating techniques, sequences, and acceleration techniques are available to acquire a high-quality cine loop of the cardiac cycle. Cine images can be used for qualitative assessment of global and regional systolic function. Planimetry of the endocardial and epicardial borders allows for accurate measurement of ventricular volumes, ejection fraction, and myocardial mass. CMR-derived quantitative measures of cardiac structure and function provide high accuracy and reproducibility. CMR techniques for quantitative assessment of diastolic function are also available. Computed tomography can be considered in selected cases when CMR is not feasible.
